APLACE was founded in 2007, as a magazine showcasing progressive Scandinavian fashion. Today it is the home of more than 50, renowned fashion brands as well as up-and-coming smaller local designers.
In addition to curating from amazing Nordic brands, APLACE also designs their own exclusive items.
We had the pleasure to talk with Carl-Johan, head buyer at APLACE, about life before and after the FAVES app.
Before FAVES I would spend time during buying meetings taking pictures and making buying notes, and then I’d spend other 5-6 hours a week organizing those notes and pictures in Dropbox.
Now, it takes almost no time to capture everything during the meetings. I can easily take a photo and put in all the style info that I need, and then it’s done!
I am buying many brands, so it’s easy to find similar styles or forget things.
When I have gone through 25 meetings and have 25 more to go, I can easily see what I have picked out already and what I still need, which is a lot easier than before. It’s kind of like my memory.
It is the best memory for a buyer. Before I used it, I thought I had everything in my head, and I was pretty sure I knew what I had bought or hadn’t bought 🙂
